Title: Quantifying the effect of visual and support surface oscillations on the orthogonality of balance control during gait. In other words:

Using Virtual Reality to study the effects of vision on balance.

NASA – MORS

A Modular Robotic Suit (MORS) designed to study the reduction of proprioception (ability to sense your body) over prolonged periods in micro-gravity environments. I helped collect data from a large sample of healthy individuals in order to train a Machine Learning model that could then assess the reduction of proprioception in the wearer (ex: and astronaut on the ISS).

A device that can help diagnose astronauts in real-time

WASP

A “slip shoe” can help elderly people “train” to fall better.

The wearable apparatus for slip-perturbations (WASP) was designed to aid elderly and disabled people in relation to falling. If you can practice falling in a safe environment, then when it happens in real life, you can be better prepared to catch yourself. I helped design a key feature of this device.
